- Anthropometry is science of measuring the human body used for anthropological classification and comparison of living things. Direct anthropometry considered as golden standart for facial dimension analysis, but still lack in some aspect to fulfill ideal criteria as qualitative evaluation method. Since Photogrammetry developed, it expected to complete the ideal requirement. The aim of this study was to find out how far a difference of facial dimension between direct anthropometry and photogrammetry on children in the ages of 12-14 years old. The cross-sectional observational analytic study had been done on 30 students of SMP N 15 Yogyakarta, which consisted of 15 boys and 15 girls. Facial dimension was measured directly on subject using a sliding caliper in Direct Anthropometry. In Photogrammetry, photos captured with a distance of 120 cm with standarized position and photos measured using Adobe Photoshop. The data obtained were statistically analyzed using correlation test and t test. The results showed that correlation coefficient between Direct Anthropometry and Photogrammetry are (r) 0,861 for Total Facial Height, 0,675 for Upper Facial Height, 0,803 for Lower Facial Height, 0,544 for Bizygomatic Facial Width, and 0,658 for Intergonial Facial Width. The t test showed that only Upper Facial Height with p 0,133 and Intergonial Facial Width with p 0,243 that significantly different. Concluded that in this research, there were no differences in upper facial height and intergonial facial width between direct anthropometry and photogrammetry. But there were differences in total facial height, lower facial height, and bizygoma facial width, with value of photogrammetry are consistantly higher than direct anthropometry.
