- Street Vendors as a form of public enterprises in the field of informal sector is the impact of the limitations of the formal sector in providing jobs for the people, especially the marginalized. The emergence of street vendors that tends to spread in town centers has two different sides. On one hand it can be a generator of a new tourist areas in the region, but on the other hand also can be a threat to the city if it left without control and management as well. This phenomenon occurs in Tembilahan City, where the presence of Pasar Jongkok on Sultan Syarif Qasim street is one of the central activities of street vendors that were quite large and well known in the Riau Province. Lot of people come to shop in this area. This study used a qualitative approach to the inductive method. The data that obtained in the field will be used as the primary data analysis from observations and depth interviews. Data collection was done by using descriptive survey with observation, interviews, and secondary data collection.
