  • The aims of Forest and land rehabilitation (FLR) are to restore, maintain, and improve of forest and landâ��s functions to be more productive. The existence of FLR activities can lead to the land cover area changes. Through satellite remote sensing imagery technology, land cover changes caused by FLR can be monitored and the rehabilitation results can be shown. This study aimed to determine changes in land cover in RPH Menggoran using satellite data analysis so as to know the relationship between FLR activities with land cover changes which can be known the dynamics results of FLR activities. This study method is a non-terrestrial survey using satellite remote sensing imagery. Satellite imagery is used Landsat 7 ETM+ imagery with a resolution of 30 m, EO-1 ALI imagery with a resolution of 30 m, and Rapideye image with a resolution of 5 m. Identification of land cover classes in the form of forest and non-forest class 23 standard refers to the classification according to the Badan Planologi Departemen Kehutanan (2001). Image classification using object based classification. Determination of the sample using purposive sampling method. The results showed that land cover changes using satellite image data analysis in RPH Menggoran BDH Playen from 1999 to 2009 forest area was reduced by 33.80%
