- The purpose of this research was to evaluate the using of Detailed Area Planning (DAP) and to map land utilization. Land utilization has an important role in development. Basicly, suitability represent the comparism of realization of DAP as reference plan with actual condition. The research method used a high spatial resolution image Worldview interpretation with accuration test. Sampling data using Proporsional Random Sampling. Overlay technique used to compare actual and planning land utilization and produced the suitable criterias and insuitable criterias. The criterias determination based on certain rules and expressed by percentage which was got from tabulation processing and calculation by GIS. The result of this research indicated that Worldview image can be used as source of mapping land suitability categories. The result of this research are suitability of land suitability is 60,93% and unsuitability of land suitability is 39,07%. Accuracy of interpretation test equal to 89 % indicates a good data quality for extract urban information. This result indicated that the suitability of the Detailed Area Planning dominated overall.
