- Background: World Health Organization (WHO) has declared tuberculosis as a global emergency. The success TB treatment is influenced by factors of patient compliance in the treatment of TB. Peer group therapy is expected to increase the compliance of the tuberculosis treatment. Objective: This study was to describe patient adherence to tuberculosis treatment after following peer group therapy at Rumah Sakit Khusus Paru Respira UPKPM Yogyakarta. Method: Qualitative with in-depth interviews was used after the peer group therapy. This study is implemented at Rumah Sakit Khusus Paru Respira UPKPM Yogyakarta. The instrument used is adherence questionnaire and the researcher as an instrument. We conducted a qualitative study using face to face deep interview among 6 patient. Result: The majority patient adherence to tuberculosis treatment before and after peer group therapy are adherent. Conclusion: The majority patient adherence to tuberculosis treatment before and after peer group therapy are adherent at Rumah Sakit Khusus Paru Respira UPKPM Yogyakarta.
