- This research performed in shallow groundwater between Tambakbayan and Gajahwong Rivers, Yogyakarta. This research discussed groundwater quality evalution of previous research concerning domestic waste (nitrit, nitrat and ecoli). The aims of this research were: a). the analysis of settlement distribution in 2003 and 2013, b) spatial distribution of nitrit, nitrat and e-coli contents in 2003 and 2013, c) distribution analysis of nitrit, nitrat and e-coli and settlement in 2003 and 2013. Primary and secondary data set was used with additional supporting tool of GIS and remote sensing. Primary data consisted of groundwater depth, land use check based on IKONOS interpretation, and water sample. Based on the analysis illustrated that distribution of settlement in 2013 was more extended than in 2003. Moreover, settlement distribution in 2013 tended to in the middle area between Tambakbayan and Gajahwong Rivers. Spatial distribution of nitrit, nitrat and e-coli in 2003 and in 2013 was relatively the same pattern that increased from upstream to low stream. This condition synchronized with groundwater flow and settlement density. The value of nitrit consentration enhanced from 2003 to 2013 eventhough e-coli and nitrat contents decreased.
