- The aimed of this research to know the effect of lines combination on the intercropping between black soybean with sweet sorghum on seed quality during storage. The research has been conducted in the Laboratory of Seed Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta from November 2012 until April 2013. The research used single factor design and arranged in CRD (Completely Randomized Design) with four treatments and four replication. The treatments were derived from seed of black soybean intercropped with sweet sorgum with the lines combination 3:1, 4:1, 6:1, and monoculture of black soybean. Seeds stored 250 g for each treatment in polyethylene plastic and stored at normal temperature (27-28 0C). The results of research showed that quality of black soybean seed from intercropping gave the same effect compared to the black soybean seed from monocultures. Seed quality of intercropping and monoculture could be well maintained until the fourth month of storage.
