- The purpose of this study was to (1) understand the models of forest resource management in the buffer zone TNLL by Toro Indigenous communities, (2) understanding of indigenous knowledge with values Toro indigenous communities in the management and utilization of forest resources, (3) understand the concept of management and utilization of forest resources, and (4) formulate models of forest resource management in the buffer zone of the Lore Lindu National Park in the future. The research was conducted in the village of Toro which is a buffer village. Data was collected through survey methods, in-depth interviews, observation - participation, and the study of literature. Data were analyzed according to the type of data and research purposes. Model of forest management with dynamic systems analysis, qualitative and quantitative, local wisdom with historical analysis, and performance management of forests by indigenous peoples Toro with comparative analysis. The results showed that the forest management model that is built by the community Toro: Wana, Wana Ngkiki, Pangale and Oma reflect management can ensure the sustainability of forest resources, including ecological preservation, conservation of the production function, social function and sustainability. Understanding of indigenous knowledge indigenous people Toro born of the values and philosophy of life: \"Mahintuwu mampanimpu katuwua toiboli topehoi\" (jointly protect and preserve life and our environment as a gift from God), with the traditional concept of use of natural resources wisely (populilo katurua longa) can preserve the ecology and sustainability of production so that the Toro indigenous knowledge that has been implemented in their customary lands that support ecosystem conservation in the buffer zone. The concept of management and sustainable use of forest resources in indigenous territories Toro materialized because certainty supported area governance, deep-rooted local knowledge of culture Toro. Management of forest resources in the buffer zones of indigenous peoples Toro directed at efforts to achieve biodiversity conservation-based management \"collaborative\" to support the development of community conservation agreements (CCA) is feasible, both economically feasible, and ecologically sustainable, and socially acceptable.
