- Yogyakarta is one of provinces in Java Island which has ultimate cultural values, especially for its historical buildings which has got paid attention much from local and international tourists to pull them coming to Yogyakarta. Prambanan Temple is the largest Hindu temple site in Indonesia which describes the heyday of the ancient Javanese people. Prambanan temple which is consisted of materials derived from Merapi decreases on its strength gradually. History recorded on 2006�tremendous earthquake, when it shoke Yogyakarta area and caused Brahma Temple site to come to destroy very bad. It pushed researchers to create microzonation map for prambanan area to perpetuate that historical building to keep it strong. The step in investigating the cause of damages is by studying as to local geology with using microtremor data measurement through HVSR method. HVSR parameters which can be obtained are natural frequence and amplification being used to identify the more and the less vulnerable area over earthquake by using frequence map, amplification map, thickness map, and seismic vulnerability map as the outputs. Through the result of data analysis, Prambanan area and its suroundings has the quite high of vulnerability with predominant frequence on range 0,5 Hz � 0,9 Hz, amplification on range 4,00 � 7,50, sediment thickness on range 87 m � 140 m, and seismic vulnerability index on range 21,62 � 45,35. From all those data outputs, it can be concluded that Prambanan Temple area includes in vulnerable area because the main paramaters to determine whether one area becomes vulnerable or not are by analyzing that area has very low frequence and very high amplification.
