- The first aim of this paper is to show the potentials and cultural values of swallow�s nests in Kebumen. Furthermore, I will explain about the management of Kebumen�s government in cultivating the nest. Lastly, this paper aims to promote Kebumen itself. By using this paper, the writer hopes that the paper will become a medium to promote Kebumen and become the reference for Kebumen�s government. The methods of collecting data are interview with the informant and direct observation. The writer interviews the head of Tourism Departments of Kebumen and Head of DPPKAD Office Kebumen to know the potentials and cultural values of swallow�s nest in Kebumen. Besides, the writer also asks the citizens of Kebumen to fill the questionnaires in order to find out their opinion about the cultivation of swallow�s nest in Kebumen. For the direct observation, the writer visits Karang Bolong beach that once became the place to cultivation and DPPAKAD Office that has the documents and photos which are related to the topic. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that swallow�s nest is very potential and profitable. The cultivation and harvestiny processes have cultural values related to the existence of the South Sea kingdom which is believed by the local people. It�s very regrettable that swallow birds in Kebumen are almost extinct because it can be promotion for those who have not known Kebumen yet.
