- Many television stations in Indonesia have competed to catch audiences� attention because its great influences that television has as a media. Starting from the concern of social and political situation in Indonesia, Stand Up Comedy Show has brought a refreshment to the entertainment industry. Through its programs, the Stand Up Comedy Show is not only to entertain, but also to educate and persuade audiences. The content of the program is containing critical messages about social and political issues in Indonesia. The critical messages in the content are conveyed through satires, wordplays, and grammars, but in a comedic way which brings laughter to the audiences. Therefore, it�s interesting to look further at inside the critical messages inside the Stand Up Comedy Show, at how it�s being wrapped in a television program�s content with comical and entertaining way. Relate to this phenomenon, a content analysis research needs to be conducted. This content analysis research concentrates more on the content of the Stand Up Comedy Show about the critical message that are presented in it. This research shows that the Stand Up Comedy Show brings critical messages in its content in an entertaining way.
