- Removable partial dentures (RPDs) is an artificial tooth which replaces one or more missing teeth and attached parts, supported by teeth and mucosa, it also can be removed and inserted by the patients. Acrylic resin RPD and thermoplastic nylon RPD are materials use in RPDs. One of the components of RPD is clasp which surrounds the abutment teeth. Adverse effect of RPD�s long term use is a destruction of periodontal tissue and caries in abutment teeth. The aim of this study was to observe the abutment teeth�s caries frequency differences of acrylic resin RPD with thermoplastic nylon RPD. This study was used 32 samples which divided into two groups
