- Motorcycle parts trade in the village of Jejeran, Wonokromo Pleret Bantul Yogyakarta is one of the largest central sales of used motorcycle parts in Yogyakarta. Economic activities in this trade led to the informal economic sector activities which are indicated with a simple management,low capital and low education levels.This informal trade sector grows wide and large in a rural area where the existing facilities and access is very limited.Nevertheless trading activities in Jejeran able to survive with large scale and is not inferior to the informal sector in urban areas. This research is using qualitative methodology.The technique of data collection is by participants observation ,interviews, and documentation studies.Technique in collecting informanst in this research using purposive sampling technique.While the theory used to explain the phenomenon that seen in the field is the social capital. The traders in obtaining merchandise comes from suppliers which can be derived from motorcycle variation workshop,�pengepul rosok�,and often comes from some bad debt collectors who sold motorcycle parts they brought. This trading of motorcycle parts is an informal economic sector and it is illegitimate because the goods often obtained illegally.For example the way they obtain the goods is by disassembling �picked up� motorcycle brought by some bad debt collectors. To run up this trading bussines activity needs to build social capital such as a strong social networks among economic actors of this trade. They build a regeneration or doing new member initiation in their community specially their own family member to maintain this network stronger. This social network is built not merely for family spirit but also because there is economic interest where they want to create new traders to maintain the networks stronger and to make the access wider also to keep solidarity and family spirit so they can protect each other,help each other,care each other among the traders.The cooperation with all economic actors,whether the manufacturer (supplier ) to distribution (traders) or to the consumers is always maintained.other important social capital as well as in conducting trade among suppliers to merchants and kiosks with consumers is trust.Trust is built by all economic actors who trade motorcycle parts on Jejeran in tidy manner. This informal sector is prone to crimes,bad traders (�penadah�) from bad suppliers (criminal).Therefoer trust between suppliers and traders,traders and consumers must be able to distribute goods are not at risk and secure.If were there deal with law,the suppliers and distributors must be able to guarantee consumers not to be dragged deal with the law enforcement. Based on the results of the research it can be said that trading of motorcycle parts is an informal economic sector and illegitimate because most of the merchandise is �dark things� which comes illegally, though sometimes there is occasional letter to support the completeness of the goods.Social capital in the form of cooperation,trust and social networks between economic actors has been able to maintain their businesses keep running up to this time.
