- . Syair Perang Mengkasar is a war poem that tell the struggle and resistence in maintaining the identity of a nation. As the inferior, bumiputera show the resistence in order to maintain their position existence in the archipelago. The resistence that came from the inferior can be described by various symbols that reflect the behavior of the Netherland as well as the physical resistence by bumiputera. The resistence of the colonized people encouraged the research about SyairPerangMengkasar The symbol that is attached to the Neteherland is a negative stigma which is given the narrator to describe various crimes of the Dutch. Besides that, this poem is also describe the attack that carried out by the troops of Bone. The things that want to know in this research is the resistence of the colonized people also the conflict between Goa and Bone. Because of that, the theory of this research is poscolonialism theory and the method is contrapuntal method.
