- Babad Sin�lan Nas�kah is one of many Javanese literature heritage from our ancestors that still able to be studied and researched. This manuscript is a collection from Pura Pakualaman Library with collection number 0100/pp/73. This text is a macapat in Java�s script and uses the Javanese with some Arabic, Malay and Dutch. This study aims to present the text Babad Sin�lan Nas�kah Pupuh XIV-XVII approach in study philology. This manuscript edited with critical editing method and use combine translated (word by word, literal and free). Babad Sin�lan Nas�kah classified into piwulang text. Piwulang text contained life lessons that useful not only at time it was written, but also days afterward. Text Babad Sin�lan Nas�kah Pupuh XIV-XVII been told, about three things that ruin the country, the first one is a woman, the second is the functionary who defected and the latter is a cunning functionary. Advice about the three things that ruin the country depicted in the Hikayat Arab.
