  • Terminal Jombor is one of the important terminal in Yogyakarta. To meet transportation needs, Jombor Terminal which is still a type B terminal, need to be promote its status in order to get better service because it still found some problems there, such as unarranged vehicles movement which can potentially causes lot of conflicts and bad service of the buses which operate there. This research will discuss and analyze the characteristics of the movement and load factor value of buses to determine whether Jombor Terminal deserve to promote its status to be type A terminal by arranging direct observation for three days. The parameter observed are headway, waiting time, vehicles movements, and load factor value of each bus. The object studied in this research is the Inter- City Bus Inter-Province (AKAP). Based on the analysis, Jombor Terminal has qualified to be a type A terminal for the headway parameter (94 seconds), waiting time (859 seconds), volume (38 vehicles/hour), and the movement characteristics (51,2% parking). Parameters that have not qualified is the load factor that still far from the 70% rate. In addition, buses movement at the Jombor Terminal doesnât arrange well yet, except for buses AKAP Fast and Limited (Patas) Semarang. As for the bus AKAP Patas Semarang already has a pretty good regularity. The unarranged movement and many other factors can inhibit Jombor Terminal to be a type A terminal. Thus, it requires an optimal arrangement in the terminal operation, facility improvements, and new regulations related to the determination of the location between type A terminal in a region. Land acquisition efforts around the terminal also needs to be improved in order to expand the terminal area.
