- The purpose of this research is to analyze the maintenance performance of broiler chickens between private ranchers and rancher partnership. This research reviews farmers� income from profit calculation, the Net Present Value (NPV), R / C ratio, B / C ratio between private ranchers and rancher partnership. The databases which are used in this research are primary data. They are collected starting from April 1st to May 31, 2013. The data are taken in every periods includes production cost, the revenue of production, and the performance of chicken. On determining the respondents as research subject, the researcher uses snowball sampling method to collect data. Then, for collecting data, the researcher uses the method of questionnaires and interviews to 60 franchers consisting of 40 partnership ranchers and 20 private ranchers in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Analysis tools which are used in the research are performance analysis with a mortality rate calculation and feed conversion ratio (FCR). Then, the researcher uses grade (IP) to measure the performance level of chicken maintenance, R / C ratio analysis to analyze the level of earnings or profits obtained between private ranchers and partnership ranchers. The last tool which is used by researcher is investment feasibility analysis such as NPV, IRR, and B / C ratio. Research results with performance analysis show that the private ranchers and partnership ranchers have a fairly high level of achievement, in spite the xvi partnership ranchers are more exceed than private ranchers. It indicates that the performance of the partnership ranchers is better than ranchs ayam broiler because the partnership ranchers are helped by supervision and extension of the core enterprise. An analysis of Net Present Value (NPV), R / C ratio, B / C ratio shows that the higher income of partnership ranchers from private ranchers. It happens because the quality of the chicken and the selling price of chicken in partnership ranchers are higher than private ranchers.
