- Nowadays, competition is based on the upstream sector of the oil palm agro-industry faced by the challenge of competing in an increasingly tight. The presence of growing free trade, it would require an effort to increase the oil yield CPO which is usually expressed by the CPO extraction. This research was aimed to analyze the CPO yield instability in February and March in 2011 to 2013 and analyzed the dominant factors in the causing low yield of CPO palm oil mill using I-MR control chart and fishbone diagrams. This research was used the I-MR control chart and diagram to see the causal relationship between causal factors loss of oil palm. The results showed that the yield of CPO during February and March, the period 2011 to 2013 has not stabilized. These circumstances caused by the influence of raw materials, machinery and equipment production, human, and environmental. Of these four factors, raw materials factor has the greatest influence on the achievement levels of CPO extraction. The processing of oil loss often occurs commonly expressed by the oil losses. The data obtained above the standard the majority of oil losses 1.04% in the period of measurement.
