  • Security aspects of a building can not be tolerated because it is directly related to the safety of the building users. Other than that in terms of difficulty when carrying out such work must be considered as to minimize the occurrence of errors during the implementation takes place. Therefore planners should plan for a building is effectively and efficiently to avoid errors that may occur during the implementation. RISS Hotel Yogyakarta is located at Gowongan Kidul 33-34 Yogyakarta is one of the buildings that have a variety of dimensions, columns and beams. Because it can lead to errors during the implementation, the authors attempt to redesign the building to simplify the dimensional variations, while still meeting the requirements of new building, both in terms of safety and comfort according to the rules that have been applied in Indonesia. Results of analysis of buildings RISS Hotel Yogyakarta after simplification dimensional variations columns and beams, still has the ability to support the loads acting on the building both bending loads and shear loads. Heavy reinforcement beams and columns on As G1 - G4 needs more light, amounting to 2.09% and 41.82% of the exsisting conditions, and for the volume of concrete beams and columns on As G1 - G4 is needed is smaller, amounting to 0.62% and 3.62% of the exsisting conditions. Heavy reinforcement for beams and columns on As A5 - D5 needed more light, which amounted to 37.32% and 28.05% of the exsisting conditions, and for the volume of concrete beams and columns on As A5 - D5 is needed is smaller, amounting to 3.78% and 4.36% of the exsisting conditions
