- This research aims of uncover the meaning of the poem �Qurs}u al- Asbiri>n� in the anthology of al-A�ma>l al-Ka>milah written by Niza>r Qabba>ni. The poem was analyzed using a semiotic theory which is studies the systems, rules, and conventions that enable the signs have meaning. In this study used three methods from four methods that are offered by Riffaterre, by looking at the indirect expression, semiotic reading, and matrix. The result of this research show the meaning of poem �Qurs}u al-Asbiri>n� is that Palestine now has become a small country, poor, and weak so easy to be played another country
