- Background :Febrile neutropenia when occurring especially during the induction phase is a life-threatening condition and requires immediate treatment. The incidence of febrile neutropenia in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) induction phase is 25% with mortality rate 11% in Dr.Sardjito Hospital. Hematological parameters thought to be contribute to the incidence of febrile neutropenia in children with ALL induction phase. Objectives : To determine the association between hematologic parameter with several variable such as anemia with hemoglobin level (Hb) 7 g/dL, thrombocytopenia with thrombocyte count 50000/mm3, lymphopenia with lymphocyte count 700/mm3, and monocytopenia with monocyte count 100/mm3 related to the event of febrile neutropenia in children with ALL induction phase. Methods : A Case-control study included patients who had undergone and already completed Indonesian Protocol Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) 2006 induction phase, suffered from febrile neutropenia and less than 18 years old. Samples were taken consecutively based on medical records and do matching based on age, sex, and febrile neutropenia which occurred in first during treatment. Statistics used were chi square and multivariate analysis with multiple logistic regression test. Results : A total of 100 patients were included in the study. Multivariate analysis shows monocytopenia with monocyte count 100/mm3 was a single risk factor related to the event of febrile neutropenia with OR 3,570 (p=0,005
