- Background : Both kembang bulan leave [Tithonia diversifolia (Hemsley) A. Gray] and turmeric rhizome (Curcuma domestica Val.) have bioactive compound which are an anticancer drug candidate. However, in vivo study about the effect of those to liver function and kidney function has never been carried out. Objectives : To examine active compound in kembang bulan leave extract and turmeric rhizome extract by thin layer chromatography (TLC) method. To determine the effect of standardized ethanol extract [Tithonia diversifolia (Hemsley) A. Gray] and (Curcuma domestica Val.) compound to Sprague Dawley female rats liver and kidney function Methods : This research used a quasi experimental study design. There were 31 female rats divided into 6 groups
