  • This research aims to analyze: (1) form / type of activities in the Children's Forum DIY, (2) the form and level of member participation in the Children's Forum activities at DIY, and (3) the extent to which internal and external factors affect the participation members of the Children's Forum activities at DIY. The method used is qualitative support quantitative (mixed methods), with a sample of 90 respondents with a stratified random sampling technique, and 10 informants were selected purposively. Class interval analysis is used to determine the level of participation of members in the Childrenâ��s Forum activities. Meanwhile, in order to determine the influence of internal factors and external members of the Children's Forum in their activities used path analysis. The results showed that the shape / type of activities Children's Forum, consisting of: (1) regular meeting activities, (2) the ability and capacity building activities, and (3) talent development activities, appreciation of art and culture. Associated with a form of participation that is often manifested by members of Children's Forum is a form of energy, while the form of ideas and materials are still sometimes given by members of the Children's Forum. Level of member participation in the Children's Forum activities, remained at moderate levels. The factors that significantly affect the Children's participation in the activities of Forum members of the Children Forum is strengthening the role of companion, extracurricular activities or tutoring, and parental consent. Meanwhile, factors that do not directly affect participation but influential role through co-factor is the age factor, whereas the attitude and motivation factors do not significantly affect the Children Forum membersâ�� participation in the activities of Children Forum.
