  • The aim of the research was to determine the characteristics and identity the antioxidants from brown seaweed Sargassum sp. and to evaluate the application of the antioxidant extract in a water in oil microemulsion (w/o) system. In achieving these objectives, there were 4 steps of research, the first step was screening Sargassum species which had antioxidant activity, from the cytoplasm and membrane bound, obtained from Gunung Kidul and Jepara beach, in wet and dry seasons
