- abortion relates to legal, moral, and most basic religious issues, in reality only a few especially teenagers are able to see it clearly from aspect of women�s health. Many cases of abortion in teenagers are caused by wrong perception on the practice of abortion. Objective: The objective of the study was to describe perception of teenagers on abortion due to unwanted pregnancy in premarital teenagers. Method: The study was qualitative with phenomenological study design. Subject of the study were premarital teenagers: 1) female doing abortion and male teenagers partners doing abortion, 2) female having unwanted pregnancy but not doing abortion and male teenagers partners of those having unwanted pregnancy but not doing abortion, 3) female and male teenagers of senior high school not undergoing unwanted pregnancy, 4) female and male teenagers of higher education not undergoing unwanted pregnancy. Data were obtained in two ways, through indepth interview and focus group discussion. The analysis encompassed seven consecutive steps: familiarization, compillazation, condensation or open coding, grouping, comparison of the categories, naming of the categories, and contrastive comparison. Trustworthiness or testing the validity of the data using triangulation, member checking and peer debrifing Result: There were two components of teenagers perceptions about abortion because of unwanted pregnancy in teenagers premarital namely: 1) abortion should not be done because it is dangerous, moral issues, and breaking the law. Underlying factor is the knowledge and experience, attitude, motivation, religious beliefs, and norms prevailing in the community
