  • Changes the temperature of a fluid will affect or have an impact on his physical properties such as density, viscosity, and speed of sound. Changes in the physical properties affecting flow in the channels. Flow rate is an important parameter because it affects the system performance. Therefore, to determine the fluid flow required a measurement tool to monitor fluid flow, by using ultrasonic flow meter. Which in this study examines the patterns of slug flow. slug In this study, the effect of various temperature and flow rate in flow has investigated to void fraction, amplitudes value produced, and transit time of ultrasonic waves. Emitted signal is received by a sensor associated with the oscillation wave osscilloscop to know what happened. In this study, This study uses a working fluid of water and air, the acrylic pipe with a diameter of 18 mm with a thickness of 5 mm. Function generator is used to generate the ultrasonic wave frequency, which is connected to the sensor as a signal transmitter. the measured variable is the air superficial velocity (JG) ranging from 0.59 m/s to 2.20 m/s and water superficial velocity (JL) ranging from 0.38 m/s up to 0.79 m/s at a temperature of 30 0 C, 50 0 C, and 70 0 C. Flow patterns that occur is slug flow pattern. In this study will be analyzed in two ways: with a visual data analysis and ultrasonic measurement data analysis. The results of this study are: (1) At the same air superficial velocity (JG), the increase in temperature causes tend to rise in average void fraction. In the same water superficial velocity (JL), the addition of air superficial velocity (JG) average void fraction tend to increase. At the air superficial velocity (JG) and average void fraction decrease at the addition water superficial velocity (JL)
