  • The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of fiber length on tensile strength and impact differences, examine the types of faults that produced after tensile testing, examine the microstructure of aecth specimen as well as a new reference materials to develop a new composite. Testing methods used in these tests for tensile test composites using standard ASTM-D 638-90, ASTM impact testing using test equipment â��Universal Testing Machineâ�� and to use notch charpy impact test. Researceh flax fiber reinforced composites in this whith fiber volume fraction of 20%, 30%, 40% and 50%. The test sesult can be priced at the highest tensile strength prossessed by the composite with 50% fiber volume fraction is 6,78 Mpa. Prices highest impact is owned by the composite with 50% fiber volume fraction of 7,3 kJ/m2. Shellac melting method is using methylacted in the ratio 1:1 and shellac compaction method by heating at 1100C for 30 minutes.
