Method: This research was done with quantitative approach with pre-experimental method using one group pretest-posttest design with comparison group. Population in this research was all patient with type 2 DM in Internal Medicine clinic of Sardjito hospital Yogyakarta with purposive sampling technique with 28 responden. Result: There is difference in self efficacy of patient with type 2 DM between intervention group and control group. Based on two independent sample T test reveal value of p 0.031 (p<0.05). Conclusion: There is difference in self efficacy of patient with type 2 DM between intervention group (face to face peer group diabetes self management education program) and control group two independent sample T test reveal value with p 0.031 <0.05.
