- The development of timber industry in Indonesia is causing the increase of demand for wood raw materials, while the availability of raw materials from natural forests is insufficient. It is requred an alternative wood material supply such as sengon wood from community forest. However attack of gall rust disease in sengon trees is estimated causing the loss of productivities and wood quality. Information of physical properties and wood fiber dimension is needed to know the effect of gall rust attack on wood quality. This research used randomized completely design of three factors including attack condition (large and small gall rust ), axial potition ( bottom, middle, and top ), and radial potition ( near the pith and near the bark ). Testing procedures of physical properties and fiber dimension were conducted following british standard method 373 1957 and TAPPI standard 1957. The results of experiment beetwen the trees with gall rust disease and the normal trees not showing the difference among them, with posibility decrease from the bottom to the top for interactions between the condition of the gall rust attack with the axial position and have increase form bottom to middle and decrease to top for length of fibers, diameter of fibers, and thick walls of fibers on axial potition. The radial position of the influential factors on the shrinkage of tangential direction real from fresh to dried furnaces growing from near the pith to near the bark. Average fibre length dimension includes fiber, fiber diameter, lumen diameter and wall thickness of fiber of 0, 92 mm
