- Logistic is the one of many point that effect to production cost. Content of logistic are delivery, inventory, packaging etc. In this last years and the middle years of 2014, PT. TMMIN will produce two new car model that will increase part volume. As well as import part volume. Import part volume increasing is effect to over capacity of warehouse import part. This condition make PT. TMMIN has to find free area to put import part volume remaining. There are four option how to solve problem in over capacity. First alternative is build new warehouse around the plant, second alternative is rent a warehouse, third alternative is optimizing potential area in the plant, and the last is part localization. These option has each positive and negative point, then management choose optimizing potential area as solution. Kind activity of area optimizing is transferring sub assy process of wheel disc and tire to other place. This is make logistic point has to be planned well. Result of logistic study and analyze of transferring sub assy process of wheel disc and tire are increasing of delivery cost, junbiki delivery should be implemented to reduce area needed, and wheel disc pallet should be modificated to get effective delivery. Cost increasing is effect of over capacity in warehouse import part. But this is the lowest cost and the most possible thing to do.
