- Background: Interprofesional education (IPE) is an integrated educational system to prepare an effective collaboration practices. Due to effectiveness of IPE, one of competencies must be achieved e which is teamwork. The personality aspect is suspected to influence person�s role in a team. Therefore, the association between personality type and readiness of IPE is necessary to identify. Objective: To identify the correlation between personality type and readiness of IPE on nursing and medical internship student in Faculty of Medicine, UGM. Methods: This study was an analytic non-experimental with cross-sectional design. The subjects were 76 medical students and nursing students who had fullfiled inclusion and exclusion criteria with quota sampling method. Findings are presented from analysis with Eysenck Personality Inventory and Readiness for interprofessional The Learning Scale (RIPLS). Results:The result of study showed that the majority of the internship student in Faculty of Medicine had extrovert personality type (73.7%). The readiness of IPE was on good category (84.2%). There was no differences in personality types between medical and nursing students (p = 0.548). However, there was a differences in readiness of IPE between medical and nursing students (p <0.001). The result of Coefficient Contingency (p=0,188) showed that there was no correlation between personality type and readiness of IPE. Conclusion: There was no correlation between personality type and readiness of IPE among nursing and medical internship student in Faculty of Medicine, GMU.
