Daftar Isi:
- Spring as the main source of clean water, which mainly used by local water company and public society, formed by a concentrated discharged of groundwater that appearing at the ground surface. Spring can be identified from landscape approach using physical characteristics of the land such as slope gradient, stream flow pattern, landuse, landform, and lineament. Remote sensing and geographic information system can be used to identify spring. Research conducted to find out spring emergence based on physical characteristic using remote sensing image, also mapping and analyze spring distribution using geographic information system. It was aim to assess the ability of remote sensing image and geographic information system in identifyng spring emergence in Sleman Regency. ASTER VNIR image with 15 meters spatial resolution sharpened by HSV method to distinguish between object so that can be easily interpretate. Hillshade analysis using ASTER GDEM image with 30 meters spatial resolution used to interpretate morphologycal view, such as lineament and slope gradient. Soil Map, Topographic Map, and Geological Map required as secondary data to identify landform and stream flow pattern. Spring distribution known from spatial overlay analysis between physical landform parameter with discharge and rainfall data. This study has shown that there were 4 types of spring in Sleman Regency based on bla bla bla, they are volcanic spring, contact spring, depression spring, and fracture spring. Volcanic spring found in springbelt of Lower Volcanic Slope up to Middle Volcanic Slope. Depression spring found at lineaments that has shown valley morphology of Baturagung Structural Hills in Kecamatan Prambanan. Contact spring found in Kecamatan Godean, at the contact between Kebo Butak Formation and Volcanic Rocks. Fracture spring occurs in fractional depotition lava in Kecamatan Cangkringan and Kecamatan Pakem. Rainfall affect spring discharge at Young Volcanic Rock, thus the decreasing of rainfall also affect the decreasing of spring discharge. Remote sensing technique using ASTER VNIR and ASTER GDEM capable to identify the emergence of spring. Geographic Information System proved to be used to spatial analysis and can be used to make Spring Emergence Location in Sleman Regency Map and Spring Distribution Based on Its Discharge in Sleman Regency Map.
