Daftar Isi:
- Spent catalysts from hydrodenitrogenation of crude oil were regenerated with the variation of method, those were calcination method, oxidation-reduction method and the combination of both methods. Stages of regeneration were calcinated for 5 hours with N2 gas flow 50 mL/min at 450 °C catalyst results of this stage was called catalyst I, oxidation for 5 hours with O2 gas flow of 50 mL/min at 450 °C catalyst results of this stage was called a catalyst II , calcination for 3 hours + oxidation 2 hours with the gas flow 50 mL/min at 450 °C catalyst results of this stage was called a catalyst III, and calcinated for 2 hours + oxidation 3 hours with the gas flow 50 mL/min at 450 °C, the catalyst results of this stage was called a catalyst IV. Activities of spent catalyst and regenerated catalysts were tested in fixed bed reactor with butylamine as its feed solution. The results of activity measurement were analyzed by GC and GC-MS. Catalyst characterization conducted on two types of catalyst they are spent catalysts and catalyst II. The crystalinity of catalyst was analyzed by XRD, the porosity of catalyst was analyzed by Gas Adsorption Analyzer NOVAWin2 and the acidity of catalyst was analyzed by gravimetric method. Catalysts age measurement was analyzed by the calculation of result graph from activity conversion at 20 minute, 30 minute, 40 minute, and 50 minute. Conversion results obtained from testing the activity of the catalyst regeneration were 0,11% (catalyst I), 4,1% (catalyst II), 3,14% (catalyst III), and 22% (catalyst IV). As comparison, the results obtained without the catalyst activity test was 0% and spent catalysts was 1,2%. The conversion results showed that the best method for regenerate spent catalysts in this study was the calcination-oxidation-reduction method. The acidity obtained were 15,7 (spent catalysts)
