- Background:Posyandu are the frontline as child growth monitoring unit. The problem about quality data of posyandu is often questionable. Several studies have shown that many cadres posyandu imprecise and inaccurate in measuring. Objective:Determine the effect of training anthropometric measurementson cadres against the accuracy of the measurement. Method:This research was conducted using a quasi experimental design with pretest - posttest in posyandu of Gajahan Clinic. Subjects were cadres, amounting to ten people. Data collection was done by measuring weight and height. Analysis of the data by independent t test trials. Result: analysis showed the influence of training on the improvement of data validity. Data didnt valid before training (p < 0.05) and be valid after training (p> 0.05) compared with gold standar.TEM and TEM% values for inter-and intraobserver decreased after training. All calculations of coefficient reliability were above the cut-off value of 0.95. Conclusions: Training can improve the accuracy of measurement in the terms of validity and reliability. Measurement error which expressed by TEM decreased after training. It means better measurement accuracycan be achieved.
