Another aspect that needs attention is also about what kind of food is best eaten as a breakfast dish because it will affect the intake of nutrients consumed. Objective: This study aimed to 1) determine the relationship of frequency breakfast with energy intake, 2) determine the relationship of breakfast dishes with energy intake, 3) determine the relationship of snack consumption with energy intake, 4) determine the relationship of energy intake with obesity, and 5) determine the relationship of the frequency breakfast, breakfast type dish, snack consumption and energy intake with the incidence of adolescent obesity in SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta. Furthermore, measurement of nutritional status by weighing and height measurement by enumerators. Results: bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant association between breakfast frequency with energy intake (p< 0.05), while the type of breakfast dish wasnât associated with energy intake (p> 0,05) and snack consumption associated with energy intake (p <0,05). Multivariate analysis showed an association breakfast frequency and energy intake (p <0.05) with the incidence of obesity. The most dominant factor associated with the incidence of obesity is breakfast frequency (Î2 = 6,422). Type of breakfast dish and snack consumption was not associated with the incidence of obesity (p> 0,05).
