- Health is a basic human need. Healthy body is able to do many activities. Public health can be seen based on Life Expectancy. Indonesia is an archipelago country consisting of 33 provinces with their own characteristics. These characteristics cause the variation of Life Expectancy in Indonesia by 2010. The aims of this research are to know the disparity of Life Expectancy in many regions of Indonesia by 2010. Moreover, this research is aimed to investigate the most influence factor on Life Expectancy. This research used secondary data, which is Research Results of Basic Health (RISKESDAS) from Indonesia Ministry of Health and publication from Central Bureau of Statistic (BPS). This research uses comparative spatial analysis and multiple linear regressions. These two analyses are used to answer the aims of the research. The unit of analysis in this research is region at provincial level. Based on study results, the conclusion is the west region of Indonesia tends to have Life Expectancy above the national standard, meanwhile the east region of Indonesia tends to have Life Expectancy below the national standard. Environmental factor is the most influence factor on Life Expectancy in Indonesia by 2010. Beta (Î2) value of environmental variable is the highest value (0,408) among the others.
