  • Coating is a protective material used to protect restorative material from mechanical and physical properties. Coating has been used by many dentists to protect the cement, used in restoration, from a potentially acidic oral environment. In order to achieve even dispersion of Coating over the complete surface the restoration, this substance serves as a nano-sized filler. Utilization of Coating is recommended as an outer layer to the cement in order to avoid degradation that can leach an ion release. Resin Modified Glass Ionomer Cement (RMGIC) is a widely used oral cement material. The high quality aesthetic value of the anterior teeth restoration is one of the supreme advantages of this resin based cement. Almost half of the developed world consumes acidic beverages on a regular basis. Citrate acid is known to be contained within a variety of foods and drinks in the commercial food industry. The aim of this research was to examine and analyze calcium ions within the Resin Modified Glass Ionomer Cement which had dissolved as a result of immersion in pH 3 citric acid. The research was carried out with a sample size of 20 restoration specimen samples which were divided into two groups
