The management of calf observations had made in Unit Pelaksanaan Teknis Dinas Balai Pengembangan Bibit, Pakan Ternak, Dan Diagnostik Kehewanan (UPTD BPBPTDK) Yogyakarta on March 11th to 16th 2013. The methods used from observation files, interviews, direct observation and measurement. The Induk sapi that will bear a calf divided from the cages. The Induk sapi bore normally. The calf newborn immediately cleaned of mucus in the nasal cavity and the mouth of calf to avoid suffocation because of the difficult breathing. When The calf has not been given help breathing, soon artificial respiration. The calf new born, soon split with their Induknya and placed in a cage while the pedestal straw or dried grass. The calf Feed are 1st aged to 6th days given by colostrum, five liters/head/day given by twice a day that are Morning day and afternoon. The Milk is provided until the age of three months to release the sapih. Feeding concentrate and forage is given at the age of two months. Kennel calf in BPBPTDK UNIT is cleaned twice a day. The Summary can be concluded that the management of calf in the UNIT BPBPTDK is good, just that the management of cages to calf has not been ideal, because ideally calf the age of one to three months put in enclosure box.
