- This study has two purposes. The first purpose of this study is to reveal the meaning within Shin Seung Hoonâ��s song lyrics in 20th Anniversary â��You Are So Beautifulâ�� album. In addition, this study also aims to obtain the relation between the stories within the song lyrics in the album. This research only uses four out of twenty song lyrics, which are ë ̄ ̧ì��ì��ì�¤ô��� ë1�ì1�ô��� ê ̧�ë�¤ô��� (misosoge bichin geudae)ô���ô��� ë3 ́ì��ì§�ô��� ì��ì��ô��� ì��ô�§§ô��� (boiji anheun sarang)ô���ô��� ê ̧�ô��� í��ë¡�ô��� ì�¤ë¡�ô�� ̄ì��ô��� (geu huro orate dongan)ô���ô���and ë��ô���ë3 ́ë�¤ì¡°ô���ì¡°ê ̧�ô���ë�¤ô���ë��ì��ô���ê33í��ì�¤ô���ë�¤ê°�ê°�ô���ì��ì��ô���ë¿�ô��� (na boda jogeum deo nopheun gose niga issuel ppun). This research employed Riffaterreâ��s semiotics which include a sequence of stage, names heuristic readings, hermeneutic interpretation, matrix, model, variants, and hipogram. Based on the results of semiotic analysis and interpretation of the four song samples in Shin Seung Hoonâ��s album 20th Anniversary â��You Are So Beautifulâ��, it can be found four major themes which are owned by the lyrics of each song. The major themes are someone who remembered about his lover, a breakup, a deep longing, and separation due to death with the beloved. Then four major themes can be related so it is able to found a bond of love story that resulted from the songs.Aloveâ��s story that was originally beautiful but had to end up with miserable. Overall, the meaning that contained in the Shin Seung Hoonâ��s song lyrics show that Shin Seung Hoonâ��s song lyrics have a series of relation that can describe of someoneâ��s love and life journey who continues to dissolve in grief at being left by his sweetheart.
