- This study aims to the general understanding of Indonesian about the confrontation of Indonesia againts Malaysia in 1963-1966. By doing this research seeks to understand the Indonesian perception on this particular foreign policy and contributes to this existing liteature in this topic. The study reveals things about the background of confrontation, the support from Indonesian people toward the confrontation, the anti-Malaysia campaign in many cities, and other support. Reviewing various sources such as newspaper, magazine, and photo from period 1963-1966, this study shows that there had been a lot of people�s activited that related to the opposing action againts Malayasia in that time, expressed by political groups and non-political organization. The confrontation was directed to the formation of federated Malaysia, which was perceived as a new British colonialism project. In addition to political statements the real form of support expressed through demonstrations in the streets. The confrontation policy againts Malaysia peacked when the Sukarno�s regime sent the civilian militia volunteers to the borders of Malaysia and Indonesia in the Malay Pennisula and North Borneo.
