- This research discusses the style of cyber communication by observing written utterances in the internet. It employed the blogging feature of Naver website (www.naver.com) which is commonly used by Korean to have chatting and information exchange, especially to spread the Korean Wave (hallyu). It is aimed at describing the word formation of informal words and describing the writing style of informal words which influence the way of Korean to communicate. The research employed the language research methodology which includes data collection, data analysis and data presentation. It used the observation method and the uninvolved conversation observation method. In addition, it belongs to qualitative research and the researcher used descriptive method using morphological approach. This approach is consistent with the view of Kridalaksana, which focuses on the theory of abbreviation and classified into some forms of abbreviation. This research concludes that (1) there are three characteristics of Korean informal words in www.naver.com and (2) there are four writing style of korean informal words in the website.
