- Indonesia has many kinds of Cetacean which live in sea waters, one member of Cetacean ordo which is the most well known is Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops aduncus) they are living in tropical and warm sea waters especially in Indonesia, the main purpose of the research is to discover nursing and feeding behaviors of calf Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops aduncus) in captivity ex situ. This research use a calf dolphin of PT. WersutSeguni Indonesia in Kendal, Central Java which is one of captivity ex situ examples in Indonesia. The calf dolphin was born on August 19 th , 2011 in captivity ex situ. This research using data obtain from observation of the object and by interviews with veterinarian dan dolphin trainer on February 6 th until June 15 th 2012. The result of the research showed if the calf dolphin obtained her energy source from the beginning of the birth by nursing to her mother, in the age of 4 months the calf dolphin was introduced to another food, which is Selar fish but it was still nursing to her mother, in the moment of food introductory to the calf dolphin, the calf dolphin played with the Selar fish which was given (bitten and taken around the pool) and eat them right after, this thing had been happened until the calf dolphin was six months old, when it was going to be seveen months old the calf dolphin started eating the fish and nursing to her mother, the nursing process happened right after the calf dolphin had done eating by touching her mother with her mouth (rostrum) to the ventral area continuously, therefore the milk could be obtained, from the result of the research, calf dolphin in captivity ex situ and in wild nature have the same behaviors in nursing and eating.
