  • Mapping the distribution and land use of Sultan Ground is an activity to find the existence of Sultan Ground and its land use. The existence of Sultan Ground in of the cultural characteristics of Keraton Yogyakarta. The land issues of Sultan Ground is not specifically regulated in the law of national land, so the status of the Sultan Groundâ��s land whereabout is frail. Moreover the location of Sultan Ground distribution is not clear causes perplexity about the boundaries of land ownership. Through this mapping activity can be expected to help the government in the implementation of Sultan Ground inventory. This activity is carried out by making a map of land use distribution in the Sultan Ground according to the Law Privileges Yogyakarta. Mapping of distribution and land use of Sultan Ground uses some data, the description of land tanure and the administration of Yogyakarta city.Those data is obtained from BPN in Yogyakarta, Quickbird imagery from the faculty of geography and data survey. The editing process of the data is done using the software AutoCAD 2004 and ArcGIS 10, while image processing is done by the ENVI 4.5 to determine the landuse in Sultan Ground. The interpretation of the types of land use is done based on classification scheme according to PMNA / KBPN 1, 1997. The exsistence of Sultan Ground in Yogyakarta, has already exsisted since the born of the Kasultanan Ngayogyakarta, which the authority is recognized as property of Keraton. Sultan Ground has developed in system and harmonized with government policies in Yogyakarta. The result shows that the Sultan Ground diffuse in the research area. The distribution of Sultan Ground are 73.687 hectares or approximately 9,07476% of the total research areas. The results of the interpretation identify 13 types of land use of Sultan Ground in this research area. Types of land use are consist of regular housing, irregular housing, grave yard, green line, medical services, public services, government services, education services, markets, workshop, wet land farming, dry land farming, roads, vacant land.
