  • This research focuses on CAKPKP lyrics prose that are transformated from prose text coded LOR 5387/5279. Process of transformation in form of receipts and adaptation derived from Calon Arang story writing tradition that has been there before. In the transmission process, a process of transcultural made by copyists to copy the text. This is caused by the cultural and ideological differences as well as the social conditions contained in the text anterior to the time when the condition of the copied text. Based on this fact, various reinterpretation of the Calon Arang text appears and make the text still appreciated till now. This study aims to determine the position of Calon Arang story in the tradition of Indonesian literature and find the intertextuality of CAKPKP lyric prose. Since copied in period of Gelgel Kingdom five hundred years ago, Calon Arang text continues to receive a reception from many people. The text recipients write back Calon Arang and publish the text in a variety of versions to be accepted by his contemporary readers. Intertextual approach is used to examine the relationship between anterior literary corpus and a synchronic literary corpus of literary texts and social texts in the form of transformation or modification. From the result of reading with intertextual method was known that the transmission of the text of Calon Arang is a representation of the socio-political conditions that occurred during the New Order. Some of the events occurred during the New Order to Reform Order such as nepotism, ABRI and Kopassus repression, the socio-political conflicts that led to communal riots regarded as a form of repetition of what happened in the glory of King Airlangga.
