- Pengotan Village is one of the traditional village (Bali Aga) located in Bangli regency. This village has its own attraction because it has the potential of natural tourism, those are forest and mountainous areas with cool climate and spread out of farm field with many kinds of plants and horticultural crops, it also has potential of cultural tourism, that are tradition of Mass Weddings, Papah War and massive Ngaben. The purpose of the study is to identify and analyzed potential attraction of Pengotan Village which can be developed into a community-based tourism. The research was conducted by collecting primary data with direct observation to Baliwoso and Pengotan Village, interviews with the principal informants, and supported by the secondary data formed documentation such as location, spacious, climate, topography and population data. The instruments of collecting data that are used are questioners to the principal informants as orientation of interview, camera, notebook, and stationary. Based on this research, it showed that the potential of natural and cultural tourism of Pengotan Village has high potential to be developed tourist object into a community-based tourist attraction, but the management of tourism in Pengotan Village does not managed independently by a local community, so in the development of community based tourism in this village needs supporting and mentoring by both government and non-government, in this case is the Department of Tourism of Bangli Regency and Baliwoso Camping Site.
