- The trading of cattle from one place to another is directly related to the transportation. The treatments while they are transported might cause some stresses and also influence the ratio rising of neutrophil/lymphocyte (N/L). The aim of this research is to analyze the comparison of N/L ratio before and after the transportation as the stress indicator of ongole crossbreed cow. This research was done by using five adult female Ongole crossbreed cows as the samples. These cows were transported by truck used straws as the base, from Wonogiri to Yogyakarta. This transportation had done at 06.25 pm with the average speed 40-50 km/h. Blood-taking had done twice, before and after they were transported.Blood-sample was taken through jugular vein. After the blood sample was taken, the next step was counting the total amount of leucocyte and also the kind of it. The data of before and after were analyzed by using t-test method. The result showed that the ratios of N/L were not given significant differentiations (P > 0.05). By this result, can be concluded that Ongole crossbreed cows were not stress after they were transported.
