  • This graduating paper aims to give information about emping garut. The explanation of emping garut includes the content of garut as the main substance to make emping garut which is supported the traditional ingredients that are believed to give the great functions for humanâ��s body. After knowing the high content on emping garut, this graduating paper will describe the making process of emping garut in Paliyan, Gunungkidul, and then, explaining why emping garut becomes potential and healthy food from Paliyan, Gunungkidul. Method of collecting the data is divided in two parts: library study and field study. In literature, the writer uses and also collects the references from books, articles, and internet, the other item of details which are engaged to the objective of research. The writer does the observation in one of home industry â��Ngudi Bogaâ�� owned by Mrs. Tukimin. Through this home industry, the writer gets the information about the making process of emping garut. Besides direct observation, the collecting data is completed by the interview with the owner of Ngudi Boga, Mrs. Tukimin in adding and exploring the knowledge about emping garut and the effort of the development of emping garut becoming potential and healthy snack from Paliyan, Gunungkidul. The result of this observation concludes that emping garut has the high content which is very beneficial in health. One of them is emping garut containing low-cholesterol that is very effective for curing diabetes. Because of high quality content on emping garut, Ngudi Boga, home industry from Paliyan, Gunungkidul tries to develop emping garut as the healthy and potential snack from Paliyan, Gunungkidul. Actually, there are some steps to make emping garut which are made by Ngudi Boga. They are peeling, washing, slicing, flavoring, steaming, circling the tuber just like quailâ��s egg, pounding, drying, frying, and packing. If it compares with the other producers of emping garut, in making process, Ngudi Boga gives priority to quality of product which is produced. Besides, emping garut Ngudi Boga is supported by using the traditional ingredients which are very beneficial for humanâ��s body. As the conclusion, emping garut â��NgudiBogaâ�� can be categorized as the healthy and potential snack which is proper to develop.
