- This study aims to determine the role of interest in learning and parental support toward students�s achievement in Ternate. The subject were 125 students of first semester courses of Geography at Educational High School "X" in Ternate. The data was collected using study documentation, scale learning and parental support scale. Results of multiple regression analysis with the data shows that the interest in learning and parental support jointly contribute to the achievement of students with Fregresi value = 5,291 with a significance level is 0,006 (p <0,05). Koefisisen regression interest in learning and parental support for student achievement is (R) = 0,283, and the effective contribution is 8,0% (R Square = 0,080). Furthermore, this study also found that more parental support contributes to the achievement of students with a contribution is 4,4 percents, compared with the interest in studying contribution is 3,6 percents.
