  • The evaluation done on the electrical network of Cokro Tulung MHP aims to determine the characteristics of the electrical network, particularly power losses, voltage drop and power factor system. The evaluation process conducted by making the load flow study at the electrical network of Cokro Tulung MHP with the help of ETAP 7.0 program. Load flow studies are carried out on these electrical network during full load is not standard conditions (system voltage 231/400 V) and standard conditions (system voltage 219/380 V). From the simulation results it can be concluded that the total power loss (ÎPT) arising on the electrical network of Cokro Tulung MHP at full load amounted to 250,931 W or 0.670% of the total power (37.676 kW) at not standard conditions and 279,933 W or 0.742% of the total power (37.714 kW) at standard conditions. Voltage drop arising on the conductor of Low Voltage Undeground Cable (LVUC) of Cokro Tulung MHP respectively 1.07 V or 0.268% of working voltage or nominal voltage (400 V) at not standard conditions and 1.123 V or 0.295% of the nominal voltage (380 V) at standard conditions. Voltage drop arising on the conductor of Low Voltage Overhead line (LVOL) of Cokro Tulung MHP respectively by 6,355 V or 2,751% of the nominal voltage (231 V) at not standard conditions and 6,721 V or 3,069% of the nominal voltage (219 V) at standard conditions. Power factor improvement up to 90% were performed on the LVUC of Cokro Tulung MHP at full load, standard conditions, can reduce total active power losses (ÎPT) amounted to 32,868 W or 11.74% from 279,933 W to 247,065 W and can also to reduce the need for reactive power (Q) and apparent power (S) of each amounted to 8,806 kVAR or 35.74% from 24,639 kVAR to 15,833 kVAR and 4,652 kVA or 11.34% from 41,012 kVA to 36,360 kVA . In addition to the load flow analysis or load flow studies, at the electrical network of Cokro Tulung MHP also conducted other analyzes. From the analysis it can be concluded that the ability of MHP Cokro Tulung is 80% (37,714 kW) of installed capacity 47.34 kW with an efficiency of 79.8% (induction motor operated as a generator), voltage and frequency operating systems are not standar and construction of Low Voltage Overhead Line (LVOL) of Cokro Tulung MHP is not standard, but the conductor used is standard. The results of the data analysis will be used as a reference (recommendation) for repairs, so the electrical network of Cokro Tulung MHP can operate properly and in accordance with the applicable standards in Indonesia (PUIL 2000).
