  • To achieve successfulness and to gain profit, silver craft companies need to develop silver products which can completely meet the needs of consumers. An increase in the number of production and quality of silver products is urgently needed by the silversmith to constantly follow the dynamic situation. On the other hand, Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP) and Fuzzy Quality Function Deployment (FQFD) can be used for assisting the developing of silver products of Kotagede to satisfy the needs of consumers. However, the use of FAHP and FQFD separately is time consuming in doing the best products selection analysis and determination of strategies to improve the quality of the product, so it is considered as less practical and less efficient. Integration of Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP) and Fuzzy Quality Function Deployment (FQFD) is a combination of the FQFD and FAHP into one tool in product development. The use of FAHP and FQFD methods that used to have ten steps to the solution of determining the best product and determining improvement each strategies of silver products of Kotagede, proposed to be an integrated FAHP-FQFD with four steps solution. The results of this research that has been done is getting the same rank order of silver companies of Kotagede between separated FAHP-FQFD and integrated FAHP-FQFD for silver products which have the highest value in a row i.e. handicrafts company of Borobudur Silver, HS Silver, and Ansor Silver. The main steps that companies should do to improve the quality of Borobudur Silver products are: model innovation, pattern innovation, combining materials technique, the manufacturing process, improvement of quality control, quality improvement, technique of combining color, measurement techniques, development tools, and smoothing technique. The priority of improvements are validated using experts judgment before itâ��s concluded. The use of separated FAHP-FQFD method and the use of integrated FAHP-FQFD, each of them have advantages and disadvantages. Integrated FAHP-FQFD method is rated faster in doing analysis for creating improvement strategies of silver craft products of Kotagede because the steps are shorter and data collection techniques are concurrent. Innovation on the integrated house of quality which displays analysis results of FAHP, FQFD, and IPA still does not easy to read when compared to the general house of quality due to the more detailed model.
